Is the creative moniker used by artist Timothy Kling.
Q. Where did the name come from?
A. In 2005 Tim had a dream in which a bearded entity spoke to him and told him he was 'Namatoke'. Waking up Tim decided this name fit perfectly with the type of music he was starting to create. After an extensive Google search yielding next to no results the name was given an existence.
Three Birthday's that shaped Tim:
Turning 10, Tim was given his first instrument a 'Keytar' as a birthday present. After playing on it for a few weeks, Tim realised with no musical training he could pick out songs by ear. In particular he was fond of Beethoven's Fur Elise & Moonlight Sonata.
However, having a short attention span the keytar eventually found a replacement with the SEGA Megadrive.
On Tim's 11th Birthday he received his first Pye stereo system. It was RED with twin tape decks, AM/FM radio and a record player. It also had a 5 band graphic equaliser. That was the transcendental beginning of music appreciation, obsession and manipulation.
On Tim's 12th Birthday his Dad took him to his first concert 'The Beach Boys' featuring 'John Stamos' from the TV series 'Full House' playing Drums.
